If you've ever had a hankering to release your naked butt into the world, there has never been a better place than ISM or a better time than now. We pay $200 for each folio accepted (you can contribute more than once) and you have a shot at the monthly art prize for another $500. PLUS from September 2008, we pay monthly bonuses to all contributors, based on the number of clicks your folio gets. You will also be given a unique Referrer Code which will earn you 40% of all subscriptions you refer our way. You can use your referrer code anywhere, online or in the other real world. If you're an attention junkie, ISM was made for you, and will make money for you. But don't do it just for that, do it because it's fun, and because everybody else doesn't.
Project_ISM awards a monthly prize of $500 (on top of the regular artist fee) for the folio judged by the editors as being of the highest artistic standard.
All new Artists are eligible for the ISM Art prize, which selected from the Primary (daily) folios released during that month.
There are no special prerequisites for eligibility. The winning folio will be chosen for its originality, consistency of theme, and evocative qualities as judged by a panel of Project_ISM staff.

Project_ISM is a public art / exhibition apparatus available to the entire world.
One day in the future, your photo set will appear as the featured folio on www.ishotmyself.com for 24 hours. 10 images from your selected folio will be available to the public, the rest to paying Sponsors. When your 24 hours are up your folio will slink off to the archives, where only Sponsors have access.
To shoot yourself, you will need..
- A digital camera of at least 2 megapixels (better than a webcam)
- A reliable internet connection or a CD-ROM burner
- Government issued photo I.D. (passport, driver’s license) - you must be over 18 years old to contribute to Project ISM
- Basic camera skills
- Unfettered creativity
The process works like this
- Read the Artist FAQ
- Take 5 sample shots of yourself (at least 1600x1200 resolution) using a variety of angles and poses and loads of light. (You dont have to be naked for these)
- Fill in the form below and we'll reply with instructions on how to send your sample pics
- If the image quality meets our requirements, you will receive a Submission Permission by email, and all the other info you'll need to complete the process. We will reply to your application within 3 days (usually within 24 hours). If you have received a response within a week or so, our email has most likely been eaten by your junkmail filter, so email us again via this form using a different email address (mention that you received no reply to your first application).
- Submit your folio, sign some forms and collect your artist fee.
- NO webcams or camera phones
- We ask that your samples be taken specifically for ISM. We're not checking to see whether you're hot, we're checking to see that you are technically capable of Shooting Yourself.
